I've finally followed the #writingadvice to use the Read Aloud function in Word--it has made a huge difference with the final editing of my WIP! 📝

(The only problem... I get a little motion sick following along with the bouncing cursor...) 🙃

Themes & Tropes: Reconciliation, Unlikely Allies, Sibling Rivalry, Career Crossroads, Book Banning & Censorship, Educational Bureaucracies, Empowered Women, Eclectic Friendships Summary: Joplin has grown to love her work as a team leader with one of Maine’s Education Service Centers. That is, until she receives the unwelcomed news she has been named as her Governing Board’s new “Agent of Policy Enforcement,” tasked with weeding out new teachers who don’t align with their polarizing ideologies. To make matters worse, her Board president is collaborating with an ambitious politician to promote policies of censorship—including book banning. Furious, Joplin realizes she is caught in a position where she must choose between exposing the ugly truth or protecting the very teachers she was sent to evaluate—knowing that either decision could end her career. It is the support of the Wednesday Club, an eclectic group of colleagues, which leads Joplin to reimagine her future.
