Paris (Riaunews.com) - Federasi Balap Motor Internasional (FIM) menunda keputusan untuk melarang winglet jok MotoGP hingga musim 2027. Penundaan ini dilakukan karena perubahan besar dalam regulasi teknis baru akan mulai berlaku pada tahun tersebut, termasuk pengenalan mesin 850 cc. Dengan demikian, komponen aerodinamika di bagian belakang jok tetap diperbolehkan digunakan pada musim 2026. FIM sebelumnya telah mengirimkan rancangan aturan kepada tim untuk menghapus perangkat aerodinamis yang mulai muncul pada paruh kedua musim 2025.

The glider winglets need a protective box during transport to and from the airport.

Now that I know it's big enough to hold them (I'll add foam cushions later), it's time to slap on some leftover red and yellow Rustoleum on the exterior.

Two white glider winglets sit inside a home made protective wooden box. Each winglet has a short spar, a slivery aluminum tube. One winglet is partly propped up by a piece of light blue expanded polystyrene foam. This view looks down upon a gray shop floor that is cluttered with tools and equipment. Two cans of leftover Rustoleum. One smaller can, yellow, is in the paint shaker. The larger red can is sitting on the table waiting to be shaken. After a hasty paint job, the box exterior is now red and the lid, behind the box, is yellow.

Definitely an old school economy flight with Korean Air.

I stared out the window at our winglet-less wing, watched the overhead moving map try to tell us where we were, ate a decent meal of fish and rice at 10am, and gawked at Mt Fuji for a while.

Really nice flight this morning, with about a 15 minute arrival delay due to the deice time at MSP.

Connecting flight to IAD is also delayed about an hour, so have some time in the admirals club. The huge space is busy today but not slammed.
