#White-wagtail-nest
Successful #White-wagtail-nest in a truck in use in Slovenia www.birdguides.com/news/nesting... is similar to the case in the Netherlands:
www.naturetoday.com/intl/nl/natu...

Does anybody have more examples?

Today’s BotD theme is nest builders or small bird, big personality. Will do a bit of both (a few are reposts but they fit the theme, again 😀)

The willie wagtail is aggressively territorial. It's known to harass much larger birds (including eagles) venomous snakes and humans that wander too close to its nest. Before an assault it flares its white "eyebrows" making it look especially enraged. #animals

Wagtail fact: You can find wagtails on every continent except Antarctica. Because getting out of your nest every day is hard enough WITHOUT living in Antarctica.

Found what looks like a mixed pair of White x Pied Wagtail the other day. Today found the nest! #birdingshetland

Pied wagtail preening, great tit singing, little little grebe getting a fluffy butt and a grey heron eying the coot nest

I assume this is basically the eagle equivalent of a house having borrowers...

...I keep forgettting wagtails are like this. :3

Predominantly blue tits & great tits. In the right area may also get pied flycatchers using the same style box. There are other cavity nesting species around but they often like a bigger entrance/box & in the previous 2yrs I've been checking, I've not seen them using this design.

2x black redstart reap lane barns to cliff, wheatear in adjacent ploughed field, white wagtail still. redwing hunkered down at barleycrates. 1/2 dozen swallows in. song thrush old hill and barn owl still at nest hole. less than hoped for in decent weather.

A Grey Wagtail perched on a tree overhanging Dowles Brook in the Wyre Forest yesterday, its mate is close by. Together they were making visits to a nearby derelict building, presumably as a potential nest site. A pair nested here last year. #UKBirding #worcsbirds

Willie wagtail pictured... these guys could sit in an egg cup just about and they'll literally fight anything that threatens their nest. They're also very good at actually distinguishing what is a threat so they're not aggressive towards humans unless you piss them off

Arrived at work yesterday and this little Willie Wagtail was feeding two of its young (who have just left the nest). Got chittered at angrily a lot. This was the closest I was allowed to get for a photo
