Side by side of Vercel's "Accessibility Audit Tool" webpage and the results of an automated axe DevTools run. The results show 14 issues, including best practices. The issues are: Buttons must have discernible text (6 occurrences). Elements must meet minimum color contrast ratio thresholds (2 occurrences). Links must be distinguishable without relying on color. Interactive controls must not be nested. ARIA role should be appropriate for the element. All page content should be contained by landmarks.

I strongly believe that accessibility is best served as a set of options the person in front of the screen can dial in for themselves. Turns out, that’s tricky when the person changes screens every other minute.

It's a number-based abbreviation (or numeronym) for the word "accessibility."

Hey #a11y #webA11y folks, suppose I have a form with a button that opens a mini-form in a popover or dialog. Does it make sense to stick things like `aria-required` or `aria-invalid` on that button if things in the mini-form are required / invalid?
