I'm realizing how many DC locals probably got out of town to avoid the shitshow being put on by The New World (dis)Order, but in doing so they will return to sidewalks that are downright dangerous. If you have any ice in front of your house get out there and put some salt or sand on it! #walkDC

Volunteers posted 300 signs for traffic fatalities dating back to 2015, when Mayor Bowser first adopted Vision Zero by 2024. Posting signs was a powerful reminder of the human cost behind these numbers. Many of these intersections feel just as deadly as ever.

Years ago, I recall somebody referring to the stretch of Mass Ave from Union Station to Mt Vernon Square as the Mediocre Mile. How it still just sucks in basically all the same ways so many years is beyond frustrating. There are literally major N-S cycletracks at either end… and yet #bikedc #walkdc

I could take a million pictures, but the pedestrian environment inside the Washington Hospital Center/VA/Children’s campus is awful. This should all be sued into oblivion. #walkDC
Corner of 1st St NW and one of the internal streets next to Washington Hospital Center. There are no painted crosswalks, missing stop signs, none of the lane lines are still there. Total mess.
