## Automated Retention Time Indexing & Flavor Profile Prediction in GC-MS Analysis of Terpenoid-Rich Essential Oils using a Hybrid Spectral-Chemical Network
**Abstract:** This paper presents a novel framework, Spectral-Chemical Network Integration (SCNI), for automating retention time index (RTI) generation and flavor profile prediction in gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) analysis of terpenoid-rich essential oils. SCNI integrates advanced spectral deconvolution techniques with a chemical knowledge graph, enabling robust identification and quantification of hundreds of individual compounds without relying on traditional retention time matching. The system significantly enhances accuracy compared to existing methods, reduces human intervention, and provides predictive insights into the overall flavor profile based on subtle chemical interactions not normally considered.
