Adrienne Adams supports sidewalk parking.
Selvena Brooks-Powers supports sidewalk parking.

If they argue or resent that assessment they can pass Intro 80 or start ticketing vehicles on the sidewalk consistently.
Inspired by @jehiah.cz and @nyc.streetsblog.org filed an illegal sidewalk parking complaint today. "The New York City Police Department responded to the complaint and their investigation determined that police action was not necessary." 28 day till Eric Adams leaves office.

I also co-sponsored CM Selvena Brooks-Powers’ Int. 1297A which passed today, closing a loophole in the Gender Motivated Violence Act. This bill ensures that survivors have the right to bring a suit against institutions (schools, hospitals, religious institutions) that enabled their abuse.

In case you missed it: Read Council Members Selvena Brooks-Powers, Kevin Riley, and Nantasha Williams on the importance of the Community Opportunity to Purchase Act to maintain housing affordability.

Opinion: To keep our neighborhoods affordable, we need the Community Opportunity to Purchase Act
COPA would give mission-driven nonprofits a first chance to buy multifamily buildings when landlords sell, before real estate speculators swoop in.

New Yorkers can ask Transportation Committee Chair Selvena Brooks-Powers, of Far Rockaway, if our city should have done the same. And if so, what has been the holdup to fully funding the NYC DOT — how did the Adams administration exacerbate the agency’s atrophy.
According to the City of Paris, in the last 10 years 150K trees have been planted & 45ha of parks created in the already hot city, all intended to not only improve quality-of-life today, but also help the city adapt to & manage summer heatwaves of 50℃ (122F) by 2050.

Just the start.

Common sense.

Perhaps someone in Queens can pass this along to @council.nyc.gov member Selvena Brooks-Powers, chair of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. Two years ago, she voted for the bill (Intro 0031) that decimated outdoor dining.

Hopefully, NYC can reclaim some public space from parked cars.
