Excluding some things I messed with only momentarily, like CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe ImageReady, Inkscape, FireAlpaca, and PyxelEdit.

Alright what are folks using for MacOS tileset creation? PyxelEdit?
Well shit, this Godot project is far enough along that I have to actually figure out how to make sprite assets for everything now

Digital art program journey 🎨

MS Paint > oekaki boards > Photoshop/Illustrator/Flash > Clip Studio Paint/Procreate

..There are some other random ones in there, like Blender, PyxelEdit for pixel anim/art, Esoteric Spine for 2d Anim, as well as Unity for particle effects/Ui/more 2d anim.
Digital art program journey

MS Paint > Paint.Net > Gimp > PaintToolSai > Photoshop > brief stint in procreate > Clip Studio Paint > Photoshop > back to ms paint lmao

for resume purposes i can also make my way through blender, indesign, substance painter, and unity without destroying something !!

Also fun: the font is custom! I drew it in PyxelEdit sometime last year for another game, and used some free tools to export it as a TTF.

I'm currently learning Godot & how to use PyxelEdit because I'd like to use my own tiles while learning. Today I managed to create my first small, clean animation, and I think the last time I had this much fun learning was when I made a motion detector with Arduino that beeped "Take on Me" by a-ha

I really should use my programs more... I have Aesprite, Pyxeledit, Scriviner, Dungeondraft, and so on.

I've been working on redoing the art for my little game I made for React Jam last month. Not quite done, but it's nice to feel like I'm making some progress. First 3 iterations were done on a PC with PyxelEdit during the jam, last one is Procreate.

Worked up a pavement tilemap for the racing game I'm working on. It's designed to handle complex tracks with crossovers and switchbacks; there will be another layer for track markings, but here's the basics.

The UI is mine as well, but made after the fact for presentation purposes, and not part of the job. The project didn't get developed further, but was good experience. Oh, and I used #PyxelEdit

Next Fest Sprint Day 17

Started upgrading the look of the camp (far from done, I just can't stare at PyxelEdit anymore). Focused on sprites for the museum, tent, and shop if that wasn't obvious. I'll do another pass soon but this is a huge improvement

So, I bought @kenney.nl assets (and others such as SeethingSwarm's cool cat sprites) from itch.io, fired up Godot, and blasted through some code.

Made a few more sprites with PyxelEdit, and before I knew it, I had the beginnings of a fun prototype.

The look on my kids' faces was priceless.
