A large stick insect came to visit us early this morning at the ranch slider.

They are from the "insect order Phasmatodea – the name comes from the Greek word ‘phasm’, meaning phantom.."

We have seen them in the bush and their camouflage is perfect!

The inspiration comes from Hymenoptera and Phasmatodea.
They are #insects and I will show their biology and systematics in later posts.
