Nothing excites the Texas GOP more than the idea of state genitalia inspectors surrounding public restrooms. This appears to currently be the party's number one policy objective.
In order to "protect women" Texas made it so that women have to go through armed guards with an ID check. They literally created a potty police.

If a political party can't get their own base to unite and turn out, guess what? That's the party's fault. Not the voters. It's gross to blame regular people for a feckless Dem establishment that's repeatedly tripping over their own dicks when they have even the slightest political advantage.

I doubt I will get around to reading this. My sense, though, is what made Poilievre was Justin Trudeau, more than any skill. Without Trudeau as a foil to anger his party’s base (& a few pretty big miscalculations), his leadership falls apart.
