Also if I recall correctly Ninjutsu is the only “magic” that can still be used even if silenced. Another suggestion that ninjutsu is clever item use that only looks like magic.

I’m a fan of rogues so Ninja is the obvious choice. It’s a job that has the most variety in FF, from ranged thrower to debuff guy to accidental blink tank. My favorite appearance is FFXI where ninjutsu magic consumed inventory items, implying it isn’t magic but clever tool use.
