A Hamas official confirmed the refusal to CNN. Dr. Abu Safiya was kidnapped from Kamal Adwan Hospital last December after he refused to leave his patients during a raid. He has reportedly lost over 40 kg and suffered severe beatings while held in "Ofer" prison.
