24 years ago, I remember hearing this news and feeling a loss unlike I have felt before. It hurts no less today.
But it also reminds me; as long as there is oppression, every act of humanity - big or small - can make the world a better place. And it is our duty to make sure it does.

One down, rest of monarchy to go.
Buckingham Palace has announced that it is removing all remaining styles, titles and honours of Prince Andrew:

"Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor."

He is also being evicted from his accommodation at Royal Lodge.

Correct action, but it should never have taken this long.

During his detention and as part of the psychological warfare waged by the occupation against the prisoners, the occupation claimed that his entire family had been wiped out. This was his reaction when he found them all alive.

The Spectator and others have chosen (deliberately I suspect) to interpret this article as a desire to stop a future Reform UK government from legislating. My purpose is to stop *any* government crushing our fundamental rights. It’s just more urgent now. 🧵 www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...
We must act now: without a written constitution, Reform UK will have carte blanche to toxify our nation | Goerge Monbiot
It means breaking with hundreds of years of tradition, but it can’t wait. As hard-right figures spread division and laud autocrats, a fail-safe is vital, says Guardian columnist George Monbiot

A most interesting address by Pope Leo.

I was particularly struck by this part: “No one is called to dominate; all are called to serve”.

A lesson for me as a Vincentian who aspires to model Servant Leadership.

The occupation targeted families this morning in Abasan Al-Kabir, east of Khan Younis. Two Palestinians were murdered including a 45-year-old man by the name Farid Hassan Qdeih, and Four others were injured in the airstrike. The ceasefire is a facade.

For the record, I haven't joined this party yet.

I was equally disillusioned by the shitshow that was the initial membership launch.

But it is unprecedented for a major party to unapologetically call for capitalism’s overthrow & a full socialist transformation.

And I, for one, stand for that. ✊️
Tremendous sold out launch of Your Party Scotland in Maryhill tonight.

Inspired to transform our communities for the better.

Huge well done to all the speakers & organisers & the newly defected councillors.

It's time the working class stopped accepting crumbs. It's time we took the fucking lot! ✊️

This is a U.S. citizen being brutally abducted by ICE while his mom pleads for them to stop and the videographer cries for help. The Chicago police do nothing to stop it.

They will come for everyone, and they’re not even hiding that anymore. If you are not organizing and resisting yet, get started.

I wonder if this is how Andrew got out of paying rent for 22 years.

Meanwhile, winter is coming and over 13,000 (in #London alone) sleep on the streets due to homelessness.

And rich people use snails to dodge tax on empty buildings.

In short: the snails are fine and poor people will die.
Why are there snail breeding farms in London’s most expensive buildings?
Why are there snail breeding farms in buildings worth £32 million in London?

Yesterday, I spoke truth about what happened in North Carolina. About democracy being stolen in broad daylight. About rigged maps and broken promises. About betraying every sacrifice ever made for the right to vote.

Then something extraordinary happened.
