Assembled a funny little MFF fit for when I'm not suiting. The hat is by @solardog.bsky.social , I loosley sewed the teeth and ears on so they could be removed easily :)

If I remember correctly MFF used to have a population cap, until it didn't, and now the attendance of the con is out of control and I don't see them trying to do anything about it in the near future. I'm only going this year cause it was basically free.

This is why we need Medicaid for all. We shouldn't be slashing Medicaid, we should be expanding it for everyone.

This is my asthma medicine. Yes, it's a 3-month supply, but that's still $253.99 a month.

It would be hilarious to dress up like Picard and try to get in an MFF threesome just so i could exclaim "THERE ARE FOUR TITS" before getting off.

..make it so? idk. Off to find a bald cap

This is still about a month & some change off (I’ll debut this at MFF) but I plan on revamping how I take sketch card commissions for Furcons specifically

I’ll go into my detail about it in a few weeks but long story short lll be implementing a hard cap on cards taken at show with event turnaround

How big will the CAP budget be in the next MFF?
The answer to this question is of course that we cannot know for certain at this stage. Under the Commission proposal the CAP will be merged into the proposed National and Regional Partnership Fund (N...

The von der Leyen II Commission officially takes office today.

We will work on seven ambitious political priorities to make Europe stronger, safer and fairer.

For a stronger and more united future.

Es lebe Europa, vive l'Europe, long live Europe.

We’ve listened to discussions & concerns to clear the path forward.

EU farmers safeguard our food security. From the outset, our objective has been a strong CAP supporting them & rural areas.

We now have a solid base to continue the work to shape the future CAP & MFF together
Today I had a constructive meeting with @president.europarl.europa.eu and PM Frederiksen to discuss the MFF.

We have clarified and strengthened our objectives in 3 key areas:

Securing the role of the regions, reinforcing the identity of the Common Agricultural Policy and enhancing governance.

📖 Must-read new @iddri.bsky.social brief which warns that current talks on the EU’s next long-term budget (MFF) could leave the #CAP largely unchanged.

This status quo is part of the problem. It weakens accountability + it fails to deliver for farmers & the planet.

Agriculture in the next European budget: avoiding the status quo
PresentationAlthough the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) accounts for a third of the EU budget, it is not explicitly addressed in the new framework outlined by the Commission. Similarly, the EU’s Vis...

What a day actually!

CEF-E (my favourite budget line) got increased by 500%.

CAP funds cut by 30%.

MFF almost €2 trillion and finally breaks the 1% of GDP for budget norm.

And our liveblog (which you should re-read) had it all:

LIVE: 'Most ambitious ever': Von der Leyen presents historic €2 trillion budget plan - Euractiv
Euractiv's newsroom dives deep into what's going on with the bloc's 2028-2034 multiannual financial framework – from agrifood to tech, from defence to the economy.

💸 EU plans 'super fund', squeezing the CAP. Officials say it's fair -farmers disagree.

With cuts of 25–30% expected in the next MFF, I spoke to COPA-COGECA’s Elli Tsiforou + CEJA’s @meedendorppeter.bsky.social at the today's protests.

Tractors will roll back in September. 🚜

Yesterday, the @EU_Commission published its #MFF & #CAP proposals - key to improving the lives of billions of farmed animals in 🇪🇺 + ensuring a transition to more sustainable food systems.

Public money should be used to support a transition to higher animal welfare, not to financing intensive farms.

A meaningful day in 🇨🇿with Minister Marek Výborný, farmers & agri-businesses discussing how the future #MFF & #CAP can support innovation, rural development & quality food production

Real change begins by listening to those who feed Europe & engaging directly with stakeholders🤝

The Budget Committee of the European Parliament has prepared its draft report for the EP's position on the next MFF to be voted at the May plenary session. Calls for 'adequate and predictable funding' for the CAP but not necessarily additional funding www.europarl.europa.eu/doceo/docume...

What is more, the COM also proposes a sweeping change in how the EU money is spent: The number of overall categories ("headings") in the MFF is reduced from 7 to 4. And behind that are much deeper changes. Cohesion policy and CAP are delivered in a single fund via single national plans.
