Ik begin maar eens met een lightpad. Mijn uitdaging zit vooral in juiste verhouding op papier krijgen. Detailwerk is dan vooral mixed media.

Taking advantage of a lazy Saturday to transfer some patterns for some “embroidery in progress” towels. About to try out an iron-on transfer pen from Sublime Stitching (do they have a Bluesky?) — already super impressed, and haven’t even gotten to the ironing part yet! #embroidery

It's National Black Cat Day. I don't have a black cat. I have a one-eyed pirate calico cat named Winky. But there's a black witch cat named Dymphna in the BEASTS OF BURDEN OMNIBUS so I'm going to be tacky and use the occasion to plug the book. Will wait for National One-Eyed Calico Pirate Cat Day.

It took 2 months, and I would grow some fatigue from this and there was also something that halted its production for a few days, but in the end I did finish it. Photographing the pencil drawings was simple as i had a lightpad under the glass plate so you can see the background.

For the geeks like us who were wondering 👀 - the device Luca has attached to his guitar is a ROLI Lightpad Block. It controls a sampler/synth on the laptop and makes all those extra weird sounds possible 🎸

This looks like a useful, digital compliment to the Roli Lightpad!
I got myself a lightpad last year so redraws aren’t TOTALLY from square one, though with my awful eyesight I tend use the lightpad just to redraw the composition, perspective, and basic shapes, I still have to do all the little details from square one as they don’t come through too well enough,

For this reason, we devise a variable pathlenght flow cell, where the pathlenght is increasing from 1 to 15mm. Place this cell on a lightpad, use a camera for computer vision and bam! You have a way to validate the data collected. 3/n
