I find it laughable a Tory MP is questioning the PM about standards 😂

🧵THREAD: The Brexit “reset” is a lie.
New EU–UK trade progress is being quietly sabotaged by the UK–US Prosperity Deal — and the EU knows it.

Labour have a Keir Starmer problem. He is a poor communicator but also lacks political acumen: all of which was on show at today's #LiaisonCommittee. He actually said that five months in as PM with the benefit of hindsight there is literally nothing he would have done differently.

Lots of not so subtle shade at the amount of time Starmer has spent abroad though

Including friendly fire

On defence spending, Starmer - outlines that there is a strategic review ongoing and a roadmap to 2.5% (spending) will be outlined.

Questioned on the West Bank, Starmer references 'terrible settler violence that needs to be dealt with.' NO indication of what should be done to solve/help this situation but strong references made to the upkeep of international law. #Israel #LiaisonCommittee

Quizzed on improving public sector productivity, Starmer notes that government operations need to change. For example, the NHS should adopt more digital record-keeping to enhance efficiency, a measure Starmer implemented as Crown Prosecutor with digital file storage. #LiaisonCommittee #Ukpolitics

Starmer: We can't hit the pay packets of working people, so we decided to charge inheritance tax on farms being taken over (in some/many cases) by working farmers of a younger generation.

‘2024 most likely date for a general election’ states Boris.

We shall see about that #LiaisonCommittee

Our local MP @darrenpjones is a lawyer - I wouldn’t want to face his questions with blundering non-answers #LiaisonCommittee

Chris Bryant is annihilating BJ. He knows his time is up. The penny still hasn’t dropped for the PM #LiaisonCommittee

Wasting time on Cummings' future was a god send for Boris at the #LiaisonCommittee. Cummings is an irrelevance who will have to resign at some point. This was a chance to demand some answers. The Guardian summary shows it was badly missed....

.@BorisJohnson to @carolinenokes: Remember it was the Conservative party that have us two female Prime Ministers.

Yes, but it was that same Party that forced the removal of both of those two women from office. Not the public, the Party.

This isn't a 'political ding-dong', as the PM would frame it. Support for lockdown measures is dropping because of the government's handling of this scandal. Lives are at stake here #liaisoncommittee

Stephen Crabb is playing a fun game here. Say really easy questions in a VERY SERIOUS voice #liaisoncommittee
