#Hirsutism
Regardless of whether or not yr testosterone is suppressed by estrogen, Spiro is awesome at suppressing hair growth too. It’s literally prescribed as a first-line med for cis women w hirsutism. 2/

In my case it was supposed to SUPPRESS ovarian cysts (as well as the hirsutism) and I’m horrified to hear it did just the opposite for you!

...makes me feel like I should be a member of the Addams Family...
Considering my hirsutism, & proclivity for bowler hats, it could just be so...

I was typing something about how I like a girl to have a little bit of hirsutism but realized I was being a freak. I'm locking in, I'm normal, I'm SO normal right now

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a common condition, that manifests as menstrual irregularities, subfertility, or symptoms of hyperandrogenism – including hirsutism, adult acne, and alopecia.

Once, I saw a woman with hirsutism who had the most beautiful ginger beard.
It looked so soft, with lovely little ringlets.
I was really jealous.
All I can manage is the occasional useless perimenopausal chin hair that does nothing.
So I remove it haha

I've been really super excited about this and it didn't burn me so I'm hopeful that it's going to be helpful!

This would actually be ideal

considering I can't find any medication to help with the hirsutism so it looks like it's just going to continue as I go through perimenopause.
I'm also going to shoot her face with a high-powered laser.
Tonight I just want to get naked, lay on my wife's chest with her arms around our other wife, my tablet with its 15ft umbilical stretched across my legs, so I can draw something meaningful to my inner child.

That's a lot to unpack but at least it's brutally honest.

New petition: Fund hair removal on the NHS for women with PCOS / hirsutism
The government to take a stand on women's health, hair removal for hormonal conditions should be considered a form of treatment, like medication would be for other health conditions. PCOS and hirsutism is uncontrollable and is a huge self confidence issue for many people.

I've had dyadic trans and queer folk who otherwise purport to be progressive mock me for being unusually feminine/petite, my ambiguous genitalia, metabolic/weight issues, hypermobility, hirsutism. Or they insist I'm lying because to admit that I'm more nuanced than given credit for scares them

I was born with some sort of ambiguous genitalia, had routine Ob/Gyn care, might've had a change in sex assignment; and had if anything a female puberty, just with a slight voice drop and thicker hirsutism; even to the point of mensturating and people just collectively tend to dismiss this

Was off spironolactone for two months. Something odd happened. My E2 doubled, if not tripled. It was about 600 pg/ml; and that was after I started spiro again for a week or two. My hirsutism increased, I was hairier than even pre-HRT. I got random nerve twinges. Everyone was shocked and angry at me

Megyn is a cis woman. There's no such thing as "looking trans". Trans people come as every kind of human being. It's like saying someone "looks gay". You don't "look gay". You just are gay. You don't "look trans". You just are trans. There are cis women with hirsutism. Stop body shaming people.
