Throughout the editing process, I would often come across an detail and think "This is wild. But is it true? How could I even fact check this?" And then there would be a Daily News clipping from 1972 that said exactly that.
A vintage newspaper clipping: "A soft-spoken little man cornered owner Stanley (Bo) Rosenbleeth in Harlow's the other night and asked her for a "Harlow pin". This is a little piece of jewelry made by Jonathan Stampler for Harlow, hostess at the Bank st. discotheque. Rosenbleeth told the man he gives the pins only to "special customers and friends." "I'm a friend of Harlow's," the man said. "Oh yeah? What's your name?" "Truman Capote," said the man.

I've read T&L since their early days in the rapidly-burgeoning field of fashion/reality TV blogging.

The way their portfolio has expanded to do recovery & spotlighting has been fascinating. I remember earlier times they shared bits of Harlow's story, & I hope this gives them the boost to a book.

Harlow was as gifted a student of animal behavior as Hedy Lamarr was an inventor, but Harlow followed Jeanne Moreau in carrying out experiments that shouldn't be performed.

it’s chilly and they all have their jackets on! except ganon, he hates clothes.
harlow the dark brown boxer, wednesday the black pug, and ganon the brindle boxer. they all have “socks” aka white paws. wednesday’s paws have black spots on them. they are looking up at me begging for treats. harlow’s jacket is green with a hoodie. wednesday has a purple and pink puffer coat on. ganon has no clothes because he prefers to be naked.

Harlow has brown skin and very curly tri colored hair (white, light grey, and very dark grey). One of his eyes are red with a white pupil while the other is yellow. He’s an elf but one ear has been sliced in half. A few scars litter his face and one at his neck.

My assumption as to your motives is respectfully rescinded - absolutely my bad. My over-sensitivity is likely due to my always having believed that story to be very insulting to Harlow’s intelligence and intended to illustrate Asquith’s famous wit while putting a “dumb” colonial in their place.
