It’s no wonder why Deaf people had to stop believing folks for their history and labor because they only want to learn sign language when they’re attracted to you…

one year the commissary on base served a special meal to celebrate Black History. i can’t remember the specifics, but it was almost as bad as ‘fried chicken, bbq ribs, collard greens, and watermelon”

almost racist!

an opulent meal is just as insulting if not more so.

I can't speak directly to what was taught when I was a kid due to my schooling and issues, but I do wonder if people misinterpret the inspirational side of the American Revolution as creating democracy. Which is completely absurd but we don't always do a great job teaching history.

Talking of Romani/y, did you know quite a lot of Edinburgh slang has its roots in Romani language? "Chor(ie)" for steal, "barry" for good, etc. South-east Scotland (particularly where I'm from) has a long history of Romany people living there

Nobody, the universe was simply configured in such a way that the Han Chinese were left with a gigantic landmass, including an administrative state and 56 other ethnic groups to govern, with no imperial history whatsoever.

Your argument in favor of Clinton and Harris being good campaigners is what?

Their historic election losses to the most unpopular man in US political history?

I wonder if during history class when Trump was in school, whether he saw pictures of Nazi Germany and said to himself that they looked cool?

What an incredible experience serving as a guest reader for the 36th Annual African American Read-In at OCLS! So grateful to celebrate the impact of African American stories and art with Central FL students during Black History Month. 📚

Happy black history month Salem. This art is awesome, it goes fucking hard. Love the shamelessness and pride in yourself and your identity, it's an inspiration. I hope to someday be as bold and prideful in who I am as you are. And your art inspires me too, keep up the good shit

Today we remember the mass internment and incarceration of Japanese-Americans during WWII simply on the basis of their ethnicity. It is important to remember this horrific chapter of American history, especially as we see echoes of this in ICE’s unconstitutional actions today.
