#Greenstuff
I bought a heavily damaged Ivya Volga on the second hand shelf of the local hobby store. This was seriously misbuilt with huge gaps. I tried to cover things up with some greenstuff work, not sure if really much better, we'll see when it's painted.

Keeps them closer to the greenstuff I store there.

I had a terrible idea for a dandelion-themed restaurant; the business plan was just a lot of hot air and puffballs.

trying to swap one of King's hands and the socket in his hand was so tight, the ball joint thingie in his wrist sheared in half -_- packed some greenstuff in there, just waiting to see if it helps when it's set

nobody ever said being a professional wrestler was painless!

Liking that a lot. Need to do similar for my 15mm platoons as well and thinking that I'll crack out the milliput and greenstuff and make me some sandbag walls.

#hobbystreak Day 398

Made some more progress on the Dark Angels Dreadnought finishing the legs and his base.

The new shoulder blocks came out well sans a few imperfections, nothing some effort or paint won't fix/hide.

CBs Style of synthetic muscle is also really well suited for some "good enough" greenstuff additions to fill gaps and I like to pack my minis in some work gloves to protect the details and then use pliers bend stuff. Honestly pretty happy to work on metal by now.

#hobbystreak Day 397

Since the Contemptor kit only has two and the resin Dark Angels Contemptor doesn't come with any I need to make some copies of the shoulder blocks using Oyumaru moulds and a GS/Milliput mix

#WorkshopWednesday Here is a process collage of my old Trow Queen sculpt from 2018. Sculpted in Beesputty and Greenstuff. Like many things, she’d be fun to revisit with new gear. #nerdlings

Decided to take a secret third route to what I’d originally planned, greenstuff part of a hind leg and cut off the attached bits from the psychophage leg, & put some bits under the sac to prop it up more and have the weight resting on that. Also magnetized a pair of the scything and crushing claws.

Test for some kitbashed +Trench Pilgrims+ is done! Lots of fun working with green stuff on these guys!

#hobbystreak Day 396

In preparation for the Grimdark Card Challenge Mini as well as the Dark Angels Contemptor(s) I decided to prepare some more greenstuff pipes, cables and ducts.

But for rattlecans I'd assume anything that is ok on greenstuff should be ok on polymer clay maybe?

Might be a good one to check online though, I don't have experience with polymer clay specifically
November 12, 2025 at 2:46 AM
No, I very inexpertly magnetised it with some 2mm magnets and some dollops of greenstuff.

I mean take any meatier undead dragon mini, then add some greenstuff, pva or hot glue for leathery cover on face and tail and you have it ?
Im just judging by this picture tbh

These are from Greenstuff World. Their quality control is questionable, at best. Each base probably took a solid 20 minutes just to clean up the flocking they used. They stay together fine, though it was a pain cutting to size and I used CA glue to set em proper.

Absolutely! Also I found that I had to make use of greenstuff on both factions after putting them together (although that may be down to me more than the models 😆😆)

I made this guy over two years ago and he’s been packed away in a box, unpainted, all that time. Today he got a splash of color on him. I’m definitely very out of practice but it felt great to finish this project after so long.

Are those texture-rolled greenstuff, manipulated into shape after texturing? That's a nice effect
November 9, 2025 at 6:51 PM
If you go with a two-part epoxy, I'd say it can be challenging to work solely in greenstuff on large miniatures in my experience. I'd go with milliput since it behaves a little more like clay, or a mix of roughly 50/50 milliput and greenstuff, which gains many of the properties of both.

I miss the old ProCreate putty, I liked that but I think it's OOP. I've never used BeesPutty and my current Greenstuff stash is being temperamental so it's probably time to try a new product.
