In the last ~5-6 years we’ve seen DPs shift from insisting skin always be lit at 55-65 IRE to now regularly lighting as low as 35 IRE

I think im getting the hang of texture painting again, using a noisy brush really helps getting the gradients, without yucky opacity bands or round marks, and without looking really smudgy - it reminds me of airbrushing! And has the extra bit of texture that i like
