Black Mages with White Magic as their second skill are stronger healers than White Mages, White Mages with Oracle or Time magic become superlative support mages. Oracles function as a skirmisher hybrid with Parry and Time Magic. Get a little silly with it. Geomancers make good use of Martial Arts.

As time moves on, Monks, Ninjas, different mages, Geomancers, and guns will largely take the place of bows which is kind of a shame because bows are really satisfying.
Although they can be fun mixed with Knight breaks or Engineer skills.

I finally see the appeal of geomancers
This past week, I completed the first ever all geomancer run of Final Fantasy III! It wasn't easy, but honestly the geomancers were pretty strong for not being able to equip much. It was a fun time, and now the 2nd all geomancer run I've completed! Enjoy this art I made of my party 🔔💖

Being from a country with a rather dismal gamedev scene, you get a lot of undue perceived competency - I was showing Geomancers, then a student game, at a small convention, and seperate people asked me if they could consult me, or if I was hiring. I just graduated! #indiegamedev #GameDev

I mean thinking back on it, there is many sorts of sub categories of both scientist & mage who'd also be quite athletic. Botanists, astronauts, geologists, geomancers.
Still, a slight point towards mages just cause magic is a bit more like cooking and you can be quite... varied & still succeed.

obviously the outcome is the same no matter what you pick but. hm doesnt it make sense to use astrology since you have experts at your disposal and you dont have expert geomancers? calline is traditional though... but... he did say there weren't any left who knew...

For the Indalok, the dead are dressed in their inkadthae, and the living who remember them carry them by foot in their casket from their home to their resting place. They inter them in mausoleums or bury them in graves prepared by geomancers, since the ground is permanently frozen.

The Geomancers were hearty. Their strength unmatched as they built the very kingdom the Villagers so revered.

Perhaps I'll make the white mage a geomancer, since they can use broken moves... although geomancers seem to be great in groups...so long as they're capable of wrecking enemies.

I'm with you on wanting it added to xiv (they certainly keep edging us with geomancers in game we can't play) but at the same time, I feel like it'd just get watered down into a rotation and lose the cool aspects of itself
