I need a pinned post, and also it occurred to me maybe not everyone who follows me over here knows who I am, so here's a bunch of games I've made and helped make.
Man. I was interested in Eternal Life of Goldman. Beautiful Metroidvania built around the Ducktales pogo? Sounds cool.
But after playing the demo, I'm out. I made it like 15 minutes in before I started mashing through dialogue while saying "Oh my god shut the fuck up and let me play the game!"

It seems like Nintendo is the only remaining video game company whose business model is still built around making video games.
Everyone else seems to be trying really hard to find a way to run a video game company without actually having to make any video games.

Sony told all their studios to pivot to live service and when that turned out to be a bad idea they fired everyone for doing what they were told but the guys who actually made the decision to pivot to live service still have their jobs making millions of dollars

My first attempt at making something in Reaper. Mostly just messing with various free instruments I found and seeing where it takes me. I accidentally wound up with something that sounds a little Metroid Prime and a little DKC.

I fell out of love with with tech as I watched the tech industry prioritize useless things that made rich people richer over cool things that would help the rest of us.

Okay but seriously, what the hell is the Blender/Krita/Resolve equivalent for DAWs? Is there one?
Every so often I try to figure out how I can make my own damn music for my games, and I always leave emptyhanded. I find a LOT of suggestions and none of them actually wind up being free.

In the past week I've seen Ocarina used as an example of a game without annoying NPCs and Majora used as an example of a game without a tutorial and I'm starting to wonder if the "old games were better" types have actually even played the old games they're talking about
I'm older than you so I can confirm that they came with a little book that had the tutorial in it and you read it on the way home

The new Rivals 2 character yanking Shovel Knight's gimmick from the first game made me realize, you don't really see Shovel Knight much anymore. He had a clear path to becoming one of the most iconic gaming mascots of the modern era, but Yacht Club just failed to carry that momentum forward.

Kid Icarus Uprising works because instead of having Palutena say, "Focus, Pit. If you eat that ice cream, you'll recover some health!" they just have her and the rest of the peanut gallery roast him for eating food off the floor.

They should make a Predator Badlands game for the SNES. That just feels like the right console for it.

Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die was pretty good, but I think it loses some sauce in the back half. It doesn't totally drop the ball or anything, but the setup was a lot more interesting than the payoff.

Funny how every holiday is represented by something that isn't real. Christmas has Santa. Easter has the Easter Bunny. Valentine's Day has the concept of love.
