White swans overwinter in flocks at the Pinglu Yellow River Wetland in Pinglu County, north China's Shanxi Province. With a pleasant climate and abundant food, the more than 6,000-hectare wetland is one of the major winter habitats for white swans in China.

the more I look into flock and see the shoestring of evidence holding this things reputation as an effective tool against crime together, the more i realize that police depts across the country (who r uniquely positioned to assess flocks efficacy, but aren't doing so publicly) r investing in this

It will never be inhabited, neither will it be lived in from generation to generation. The Arabian will not pitch a tent there, neither will shepherds make their flocks lie down there.

happy bday, one of my favs, civil rights leader/philosopher Howard Thurman, b.1899, Daytona Beach.

“When the song of the angels is stilled, when the star in the sky is gone,
when the kings and princes are home,
when the shepherds are back with their flocks, the work of Christmas begins:...

Reports always pick up this time of year as flocks move in looking for berries and windfall fruit. Keep an eye on the rowans and under apple trees…

Hey @lastweektonight.com ... Any chance you could release the Wolf of Wallstreet poster from the show in printable high-res?
Curious furries with too much empty wall space want to know. ^.^

Our season finale is about the vital role public media plays in the lives of many Americans, how the Trump Administration’s budget cuts could impact those Americans directly, and one small way we’re trying to make a difference. And yes, of course, there is a bidet involved.

When flocks of birds take to the sky around the marsh, you just know there’s a predator nearby; a Western Marsh Harrier (Circus aeruginosus) in this case #birds

In 2025, DABF is guest curated by Dr. Selina Guinness, her theme is Flock. Through a selection of talks and nominated books, Guinness examines all things pastoral: humans and beasts; the relational art of shepherding; and the impact of flocks on habitats.

Do you think Graham will ever link his fondness for ringing up people to scream at them down the phone and why everyone is so unwilling to work with him? Or will we have to start bringing the flocks of flying pigs indoors in case they catch avian flu first

Since the regular wintering Taiga Beans deserted Norfolk, my encounters with this elegant goose have been few and far between. As such, I was excited to encounter 96 in two flocks on a freezing cold visit to the Slamannon plateau in Forth. Special birds! #ukbirding #birdingScotland

They have been shepherding their flocks thru the Durien Gap and on fishing boats. “Illegals” are sneaky like that 🙄

Thanks to @joshuajfriedman.com & @rachelholliday.bsky.social I've been enjoying @maggietokudahall.bsky.social's pigeon paintings & thought she might appreciate Ruth Asawa's similarly themed works on paper, with flocks of birds on cobblestoned backgrounds

I told my husband. 'I'm not where I expected to be, yet I feel like I'm exactly where I'm meant to be.' And since our arrival in March of this year, 5 more women have started small flocks of critical or threatened breeds, which gives me hope.

The Gelder Valley is the poultry-dense region where an outbreak of another HPAI subtype, H7N7, started in 2003, spreading across the Netherlands and into Germany and Belgium. It caused the deaths of approximately 30 million chickens. It also spread to at least 89 people, one of whom died. (2/3)

Things I expected to encounter on the road when I moved back to MA: bad weather, traffic, potholes big enough to damage a tire.
Things I did *not* expect to encounter on the road when I moved back to MA: flocks of wild turkeys...

Flocks of birds waiting for the rain to let up to soar through the sky. Seagulls repeatedly road on the waters flowing to the ocean.

Neither sheep nor wolves but men. Sheep live in flocks and wolves in packs but we live in a society.
