Next steps of protection for me is to be able to be notified whenever the stream is offline & someone posts in my chat, that Firebot (Twitch chatbot) will take that chat message and post into a Discord channel and pings me directly, in case i'm not at the computer when it happens

Firebot is very feature rich and easy to learn. It's open source too so it's generally a little easier to trust

It's a desktop application so you have a lot of control over it, I like it a lot

I know a lot of people hate getting clip shoutouts so I'm trying to figure out a way to hit the middle-ground.

I've turned on "Raiders Only" for it, but I'd like to refine it more

One solution I have is to only do Featured Clip shoutouts (thank you Firebot) - but I'd want an Opt-In too. Any ideas?

Frosty and SE suck. I recommend Firebot for all your streaming needs 🤖 If you're curious about what Firebot can do, everything on my stream is through Firebot :) Every silly redeem, alert, command, counter, etc. 🐸

begging streamers to please stop using frosty tools & streamelements. i know it takes a lot of time & spoons to switch over to another bot, but frosty is an ai monstrosity and se is ran by racists & zionists & uses ai.

i know a lot of widgets only work with se, but if you can pls move away.

works pretty well! if the title has a space in it dont use $category for hastags tho. I think there are firebot variables to work around it but thats a problem for future me

Was previewing some recent recordings of me playing guitar on stream, and had OBS up cause of messing in Firebot. Since my mic was hot, it was transcribing my singing. The music notes were unexpected!

Firebot lets you edit the raw HTML and CSS for text in their overlay! And it seems like it's fairly smart about moving from the WYSIWYG to "code view"! I love it

...downside, the edit box is tiny and doesn't have text wrap 😿

Y'all if im not back to streaming for a bit just know its because I likely lost all my data for OBS and Firebot, since my roommates laptop that i'd been using had all my data on there and the SSD died today. So im going to have to redo both from scratch. No I'm not okay about it.

Once I finish up the chat overlay rewrite components I'll export that part of the setup for anyone else to use! ^^ It uses a browser component in OBS that listens to the OBS websocket for specific custom events sent by Firebot.

We're working on plots for the birthday stream, and Tuesday's been using her 'Metrics' image of me while running Firebot tests, so whenever I look over at her screen I see myself looking silly ^^;

I write my own bots from scratch and have for about 10 years. I like the full control. I've tried quite a few bots of the years and none meet my expectations. I've seen people be very successful with Streamer.Bot and Firebot as of late, but they seem flawed and fall into the same design pitfalls.
