#Engagé
Liek cis people live in the privilege that their identities are naturalized and beyond consideration. When they engage in the artifice of it, I’m allowed to call them trannys—cause it’s funny
I love the pushback to the “cis women taking t are trans” ribbing cause it’s so boring

Connect the crumbling of culture with the resurgence of interest in Tolkein's works that transformed two generations of people in the U.S. into perpetual adolescents incapable and unwilling to engage with the adult world and its problems.

Those books aren't going to save us or rebuild anything.

She is a great example of how to engage and listen to her constituents. Imagine campaign finance reform where a candidate got money from taxpayers, depending on the office, they go the same amount. They would all be door knocking, and media would not get billions.

If you campaign for elected office, don’t just mingle with wealthy corporate types in a hotel ballroom.

Jasmine shows up where her heart is. She is committed to supporting the vulnerable.

Honestly not just here, but everywhere. I'm in a very large fanfiction server and there are waaaay too many people hung up on hits, kudos, and comments and trying to maximize potential popularity while also not doing anything to engage with others to, you know, make community and get weird over it.

Teachers do not assign work so that students generate artifacts. They assign work to have students engage in particular cognitive processes that promote learning. Teaching them to sidestep those cognitive processes to generate an artifact misses the point.

I never go along with 'playful stereotypes' because it will always be turned into something that racists used against us. That's why i never use the YN term, that's why I didn't engage with the smoke detector. And it pisses me off that people can't see this coming.
December 27, 2025 at 6:19 PM
Oh no. Did you just engage in rankism? 😬
December 27, 2025 at 6:19 PM
Thats a wild way to engage wIth someone. Blocking you bc you're adding nothing of value to the conversation.

If there were more "aggressive" delivery cyclists like Joe, I would be much more likely to use delivery services. As it is, to use any delivery service is to accept that the drivers need to engage in dangerous and illegal behavior for my convenience.
My Uber Eats order was delivered by a very aggressive bicyclist I’ve seen around the city the past two years.

His name is Joe.

OMG I have felt the very same thing. Like enemy defense scaling, "mandatory feats" etc is hard to even talk about because so many people are just like "wow clone rpg" and then don't even engage. Some people I know who had never played D&D even "have heard 4e is the worst" and for me it's infuriating

I'm not saying that white apologists should be silenced, I'm simply suggesting that we hold them to more rigorous intellectual standards. Make them actually engage with the ideas they don't like with facts, citations and argumentation. clickbait headlines, anecdotes, and vibes is simply lazy

I’m not asking for agreement. I’ve cited credible historical scholarship that informs my view. You’re free to engage with it or not. I’m done debating established history with someone unwilling to do the work.

even people who use this site to crosspost but don't engage with people are just making up completely bonkers shit

these 4 people have like 600k followers between them and all but one pay for the bluecheck, so I get the investment, but 2/3 are also tumblr refugees who KNEW twitter was always worse

weakness. It is, in fact, needed direly. Our inability to engage with these values is a big part of why we are in the situation we find ourselves in, in regards to the raging, devouring fascism.

What you're talking about is the formalism of it; Bostock was decided because it was ripped from these

And I think that's bullshit.

Trans folks don't deserve rights because the legal landscape was in such a way as to support them. We *get* those rights because of that; but that's not from where the moral center of the values that create rights flow.

Being able to engage with those values isn't

we know that cis women are subject to ridiculous beauty standards. every single one of these interventions like makeup and dieting is GAC, and something they are SEVERELY punished for if they dont engage with them.

I agree that pushes the definition of head canon (it's more like a fan fiction you don't actually write down?), but people absolutely do engage with media that way.

According to a recent study in Germany, cyclists (and pedestrians) are more interested in the common good than motorists. Perhaps it is because getting around on a bicycle requires you to engage with your environment and the people in it, while driving a car isolates you from all of that.

Honestly for me I appreciate the non visual communication.

It helps engage my own imagination and creating the concepts internally.

I find visual stimuli sometimes overwhelming with sound as well.

I lack audio gating so sometimes limiting visual allows more audio capacity

Step 3) Someone we don't wanna talk to very much and who should know that tries to engage us in conversation in a public setting, and we would like to politely exit the conversation without debate
