273 Series? These overhead cab electric multiple units (EMUs) always looked odd to me but I guess I'm getting used to them. You can see how you could hook to another train car in the front, which must come up often enough to make it worth the extra design work?
Two years ago today…Limited Express Yakumo heading towards Okayama. It was painted beige and red just, the traditional livery for intercity trains on the Japanese National Railways network.

MTD -44 or something like that for the vast distances of the west. We had some 3Kv DC made by Westinghouse and GE.
They were cool. One train would regen going down the mountain while another would use the power going up the other way.

I didn't realize that the Indian electrified double stack trains aren't even using well cars, they're just sitting on flatcars.

Then there's the other benefits that are harder to put a cost on, like better schedules and better reliability. A regular pantograph-powered electric train is going to accelerate and brake faster, and probably have less overall downtime than a battery system.

Incorrect. Not electric high speed trains.The track area that's fenced is the same width as a 747's wing span.The fences are 10' tall. The planned train cannot go around it or over parts of it, without destroying the biosphere and expropriation of farm land. Before you offer your suggestions, learn.
