The thing is: almost all of these AI hypers are hemorrhaging money. LLMs/GenAI is not profitable at this huge scale. They can's sustain this much longer, and they KNOW it.

They have two options here: downsize (Clippy, but smarter) or go bigger, dump another trillion $, and hope AGI emerges.

Good morning America 🇺🇸 Raise Corporate Taxes to 42%. Pay down the debt. Why is it each time the federal government decides to downsize government it does it on the backs of the poor? Don't cut Medicaid and SNAP to pay for tax cuts for corporations and high earners.

This is all part of the strategy - get people to quit so that you can avoid having to fire them. It’s being done in part to help with the mandate to downsize.

Couple that with a hiring freeze and you’ll magically reduce size by 10%.

And that will lead to others quitting over burnout…

Yes -you can't give them your house and continue living in it, for example. Give that a surviving spouse has a threshold of 2x 325K plus the value of the family home up to a million, not too many affected - those that may be could downsize and give proceeds to children. Or just pay some tax!

My mom does an amazing job keeping this place up. My home back in Atlanta is 1/3rd the size of this one and I struggle keeping it as well put together as this one. Most Baby Boomers downsize, but not my folks. They stay adding on. It must be 'cause the fam keeps growing, but still! 😆
