#Devarim
As a hobby, I like to illustrate weekly #Torah portions. In the Deuteronomy #parsha called Devarim, giant King Og of Bashan figures, along with his giant bed. Bashan was a location now in the Golan Heights that has many big dolmen. So I put his giant bed on top of one. #watercolor #JewSky #ArtYear

1/ Chevre, this week’s parsha is Devarim (דברים). We always read this parsha before Tisha BeAv (the 9th of Av), which is Sunday. Tisha BeAv marks a number of calamities in Jewish History including the destruction of the 2 temples (which happened on the same day of the Jewish Calendar), ...

I often pass along a very useful to do list, provided to me by @devarim. It has 2 items on it.

1) Is the baby alive?
2) Are you alive?

Answering yes to both of those should get you through the first month.

1/ Chevre, this week’s parsha is Devarim (דברים). We start the last book of the Torah this week. This parsha is always read before Tisha BeAv, the fast day we remember the destruction of The 2 Temples in Jerusalem (amongst other things throughout Jewish History).

Did we not add a supplement to B'midbar when redacting? Is Devarim not written way later and then added to the "Books of Moses"? Was the Seven Days of Creation story not tacked on to the the front of Bereishit so that the Priests could have first say?

All religions do it, because it helps them.
