Events like this highlight that the topography of some mountain ranges are really impacted by earthquakes. Some of the #Copernicus #Sentinel2 timelapses don't really do the landslides any justice at all.

Here they try to back it up a little bit, citing a Guardian report. One problem, though: that Guardian article is from 2015. Ten years ago. Since then, the BBC has introduced widespread VPN blocking (as anyone who’s tried to watch iPlayer using one knows).

**Abstract:** Traditional predictive maintenance (PdM) systems often struggle with complex, evolving industrial environments and high dimensionality of sensor data. This paper introduces a novel framework, Dynamic Multi-Modal Attribution and Adaptive Reinforcement Learning (DPMA-ARL), that addresses these limitations by dynamically weighting multi-modal sensor data, attributing failure causality, and utilizing adaptive reinforcement learning policies to optimize maintenance schedules. DPMA-ARL achieves a 30-50% improvement in prediction accuracy and a 15-25% reduction in maintenance costs compared to state-of-the-art PdM systems.
