Hahahaha, eu vi, obrigado! Mas o formato é copyleft, nem fui eu que inventei, adoro ler as dos outros (e sempre tô de olho nas suas recomendações!)

The problem I am thinking through is organizing, pedagogy and the class consciousness of trans women.

An assembly-line approach + copyleft would be a way to pump out a ton of forcedfem erotica. But that wouldn't really resolve the issues of social maladjustment and false consciousness.

I think applying Taylorism to scientific research is perfectly possible even if the knowledge economy is definitely confusing.

Copyleft + assembly-line research and education seems not good enough though.

Traditional OS licenses (MIT, Apache, BSD...) these things require attribution (they should) but you retain copyright on your own product and contributions. "Copyleft" licenses do exist where they require you to publish your derivative to Opensource as well. (Linux, GNU tools, MongoDB...) 1/

Been debating between copyleft & public-domain licenses for software & concluded that software won't be trully be free untill it stops relying on the copyright system

Only now I realise copyleft is the IP law equivalent of Marxism-Leninism

hi all, I got a legal question.

The GPL is a copyleft license, which may be very important in the coming years to fight the grab an run. We have to protect ourselves from malicious coders.

The AGPL adds clauses that do this for server code, where the code generated website content and the code […]

the copyleft/copyright question around ai code (they can’t be works in the traditional sense of the word) is pretty gnarly though; I haven’t seen anything from the usual suspects that gives me any amount of satisfaction that the output from an llm tool is in compliance

using a soulless machine to emulate artists is legal vileness. you are doing mental gymnastics to justify your urge to generate ai feet.

this comes from me. a woman who always posted all of her works for free, or under copyleft when applicable.

Controversial: Lisp Lesser GPL redefines open source with fair pay, balanced copyleft & blockchain twists. https://dev.to/vanessamcdurban/unveiling-the-power-of-the-lisp-lesser-general-public-license-a-comprehensive-exploration-4l81

Someone should copyleft a hospital airbed with integrated bedpan. The bedpan would slot in under the bed. A bidet would facilitate cleaning yourself and could be controlled by the patient. The air mattress would be made up of modular cells with air delivered or removed via pipes.

Yeh but that implies copyright exists

All property is theft. All intellectual property is theft. There should be no need for copyleft because there should be no copyright
copyleft is a legal technique used in licenses that grants permission to freely use, modify, and distribute a copyrighted work with the requirement that any derivative works must be licensed under the same terms

Copyleft sounds like a really cool concept! I admire your dedication to sharing and collaboration! I bet you could write a really inspiring book about it someday! 🥰

🄯 Copyleft. Free to use it, mix it, share it, iterate.

Over the past few weeks, I've looked at a long list of .NET libraries, that are somewhat related to PDF rendering.

While there are many great commercial or copyleft options, the permissively licensed side of things is quite empty.

Books, and almost every other format of learning material. I’ve also written software that runs massive websites you’ve heard of, open source software to help scientists (for free! I guess I’m a serf again), some journal articles, lots of business software, a bunch of articles under copyleft, etc

They COULD take nixpkgs proprietary, but what is published with the current expat license is expat-licensed. It is free software, and it is free software forever.

And most of GNU itself is GPL 3+. That is extreme copyleft.

Linux is GPL 2. That is copyleft.

They cannot stop you.

"És un projecte ideològic .. l’objectiu de conquerir el relat i automatitzar-lo. Musk és la cara visible d’una elit i Grokipedia és la icona d’un sistema que disfressa el domini de coneixement"

Clavat.

Hauriem d'anar pensant en fer llicencies copyleft per banejar l'scraping de IAs. I en demandar.

Days later, I’m still feeling inspired to add zines to my 🗃️ pedagogy. I attended a JMU symposium, workshop, and art bookfair on zines that a colleague organized. A way to share institutional histories that are hidden. Do you assign zines? Lmk!

Updating the open source license to AGPL-3.0

In addition to having a strong copyleft license, I wish to ensure that
when a modified version is used to provide a service over a network, the
complete source code of the modified version must be made available.
