I've found that works for that, but there's a few things like system snapshots and the like that I'm still trying to figure out before it all feels "done", and that's just kinda been the target of my compulsion to work on something when I should really be taking it easy.

Girl Forky is weird
as in Disneys compulsion to pair off everyone no matter what or how many unnecessary characters it adds to a series because being single or gay means you get a sad ending apparently to them is weird, extremely weird

This is about mutual blood bonds, not the one sided blood bonds in which only one party gets bound and the other is completely free willed out of its compulsion.

Why would it be though? The Doctor had been male for centuries. Wearing women's clothes is something we expect as a society, not some genetic compulsion.

As is my compulsion I made quite a long list of films to see—or rather combined multiple long lists. Sight & Sound 2022, AFI’s 100 best American films, NYT’s best films of the 21st century, and all the Best Picture winners. Once I crossed out all the ones I’ve seen, I was left with around 300 films.

The stud never new why he had a compulsion to always stop and jerk off in his car on cam every day at the same spot in the road even if it made him late, but his hypnotist never missed watching his subjects perform as triggered and selling the vids for a profit

in returning the kiss Tomoaki forced upon him… the horrible realization that this can only be explained by genuine love, something that cannot be rationalized as a product of supernatural compulsion, excessive lust or inhuman calculated manipulation.

No other information was given, just the strong compulsion to repeat the mantra again and again - "Give me a reason, give me a sign".
Once in the Church, Laura wrote the mantra upon a prayer request note.
We hope it meant something to someone.

I think I know exactly the one you mean, from the Animatrix? It is a really heartwrenching awful scene.
and yeah it just seems like a lot of beings have this inherent compulsion to just ostracize the things they don't understand or think they don't like, and therefore cannot allow it to exist.

here's an aside about a justice game. Actually, it's a pattern, Actually, it's a compulsion. I thought I invented this as a kid, and so did an ex (she called it "basket game" -- it's actually called the Thue–Morse sequence):

Tolkien’s world runs on moral causality. Power misused, even for good, corrupts the outcome. So in a world where the Ring survived, the ghost army staying would have been a sign that Middle-earth was sliding into the same logic as Sauron’s — dominion through compulsion.”

which doesn't really sound all that interesting written out like this, but I just have a strange compulsion to do it

Because the Big One is just around the corner! I watched an older, rail-thin woman buy scratch offs from a machine inside a Sheetz for the entire time it took me to eat my lunch. It must be a helluva compulsion.

these drakes are quadrupedal, usually can't fly and often have no wings, and have a breath weapon. it's not a true dragon either, but emits the same control pheremones in spades. and while kobolds have a compulsion to serve, these drakes have a compulsion to own others and dominate

One man is immune, and attempts in vain to warn and dissuade his friends and companions from their fate.
At the end of the film, the ship must make one last pass of the islets. We can see the remains of the previous sailors, but even this fails to deter the last of the men from their compulsion.
