The #tetraquark candidate seen by #D0 at @Tevatron has been searched for by @ATLASexperiment. They didn't find anything, just as @LHCbExperiment, @CMSexperiment and #CDF before. https://arxiv.org/abs/1802.01840 #onlySeenByD0

Data parking 🅿️at @CMSexperiment explained by @xmpierinix : 9 billion unbiased B physics events stored for further analysis.
The @ATLASexperiment seems to do something similar. I'm looking forward to first results coming from these samples. #FlavourAnomalies

Glad to see results looking into the seesaw model; heavy neutrinos was one of the areas I worked on @CMSexperiment!

Here is a black and white version where I have noted some details of what is actually shown in the
@CMSExperiment
logo. The circles are different detector layers (used to identify different particle types). The curved lines are four muons (4/N)

And yes, the @CMSexperiment #WBoson mass measurement is even sensitive to tiny inhomogeneities of the magnetic field of the CMS solenoid. So super-precise new tracking algorithms and new simulations of the silicon tracker detectors had to be designed especially for this measurement 🤓 #CERN

Greetings from the #CMSExperiment control room where I’m presently on shift. We have permanent video connections to other remote control rooms, tonight (or should I say this afternoon 😇) Jingli is connecting from #fermilab to do the data quality monitoring!

Interesting @CMSExperiment paper https://arxiv.org/abs/1907.05461 on B⁺→ J/ψΛ̅p. With the Λ̅ recoiling against the J/ψp system, they can't reach the #pentaquark region. Compare the mass plots of CMS and @LHCbExperiment for Λb⁰→ J/ψK⁻p.

Just arrived at @cern for @cmsexperiment week next week. The weather is glorious and I can see Mont Blanc (and a blue magnet)

So both @ATLASexperiment and @CMSExperiment are working on the lepton-universality tests R_K(*). Looking forward to the results.

But of course the real question is if the @CMSexperiment #Wboson mass results are consistent with (which) previous measurements as the CDF. Here's the plot. The #standardmodel wins again, sadly. But the discussion on whether that measurement is real is now done I personally think.

Today @CMSExperiment announced the first direct measurement of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix elements Vtd, Vts (actually their sum) and Vtb. That's nice. I'll try to explain why. http://cms-results.web.cern.ch/cms-results/public-results/publications/TOP-17-012/index.html

One of my lovely @CMSExperiment DESY colleagues Saptaparna Bhattacharya is moving to ATLAS to start her own group on @ATLASExperiment. She's looking for postdocs. Being based at CERN is definitely an option (although SMU/Dallas could be tempting!)

A few weeks ago, I ran a poll on X/Twitter on the following drawing, specifically whether this was a @cmsexperiment logo with ATLAS magnetic field, CMS logo with CMS magnetic field, or CMS logo with no magnetic field. So I think it is time to make a #thread on #magnets and the CMS logo (1/N)
