I really regretted not pursuing the consciousness studies certificate with my second grad degree. I'm thinking something in that direction, but there are only a handful of degree programs related to that out there. CIIS has a PhD I've been eyeing for a while.

Some interesting thoughts—but the connection to neuroscience is way overblown. There is a deeper metaphysical interestingness to certain dialectics (like local-global, yang-yin), but all in all it’s very culty.

And for folks shocked that some 'therapists' hold racist, transphobic, or homophobic views, I can assure you that the training programs do very little to educate people or filter for these biases. I'd estimate at least half of my graduating cohort at CIIS lacked basic understanding of racism.

Ken Wilber gave a big push to Sri Aurobindo towards the end of the last century and yet the West remains oblivious of him. Even CIIS has banished him. It can easily be perceived that The Mother is the barrier. But she turns out to be the pivot and fulcrum of his whole enterprise. #TusarNathMohapatra

Thing is ppl generally don't like conflict of to be seen to be nasty ppl. Lots of ciis ppl are nice to our faces while harbouring deeply prejudiced ideas about us.
