#AvS
Nice!! It would've been nice to go to the game for sure. Being surrounded by Avs fans would be electric.

Watching an Avs game in Colorado is on the bucket list. I have to wait until the Cheeto is out of the office.

Enjoy!!! #GoAvsGo

The problem is I don't like Bourque. Part of it isn't even his fault (I would feel insulted if the Avs retired my jersey, so I guess him letting them do it IS his fault).

Wenn Wörl nicht versucht den mit rechts anzunehmen passiert nichts
Dafür spielt man ja 3 IVs damit die AVs hoch schieben können

Kommt Corboz schneller mit Seguin mit passiert auch nix 🥲

It’s David vs Goliath tonight in Denver.

The Avs have a +56 goal differential. The Jets are -2.

Also Colorado have not yet lost in regulation at home going 13-0-2 so far this season.

Dear Mama.

Anyway I think it’s more likely that Avs-Jets will be a tight game than that it will be an Avs blowout. And it’s possible but extremely unlikely to be a Jets blowout.

To summarize the Avs season: bsky.app/profile/avsb...
Would you believe us if we said Brent Burns just got an assist to someone (Brindley) who wasn't born yet when he was drafted?

Because it's true.

The problem is that a lot of "violations" are considered natural and expected driver behavior, and the AV cars have follow the flow of human traffic.

Otherwise the AVs are disruptive, even if they are doing the right thing.

The Avs have been lucky with injuries and lucky with young players like the Honey Badger Gavin Brindley and Parker Kelly who should have a nickname by now but doesn’t.

We call them “accidents” because of a deliberate, successful effort to minimize human liability.

There are important and hard conversations to be had about AVs, but that conversation can’t start from false premises of human liability.

Actually in CO for game day. Wish I was going to game in person but good to be around Avs fans. Jersey on. Let’s go boys.

They also need to be up front about who their competition is, incl TNCs & AVs which benefit from reduced labor protections, then petition for regulation to level the playing field.

I wonder if one of the consequences of having a lot of autonomous vehicles on the road might be a rewriting of traffic laws. Right now we tolerate streets with 25 mph speed limits because everyone goes 40 anyway. With AVs "enforcing" those limits there might be an outcry to adjust them

I had an email mixup with a boomer from Australia, I misspelled my friend’s email in an invite to my buddies about Grateful Dead night at an Avs game. Turns out he was super cool and one of my friends visited him when he went to Australia.

Hello #AvsFaithful! It's game day 🏒

The #Avs take on the Jets at home and look to make it 4 wins in a row. #GoAvsGo

As the #Avs look for a potential 3C, they have been consistently linked to an ex Av, ROR.

Here's an article from The Hockey News: thehockeynews.com/nhl/colorado...

I will forever and always look at the AVs and see an absolute waste of human time and effort, on yet another technology that doesn’t solve a problem.
December 19, 2025 at 3:49 PM
If the whole point is that AVs are supposed to be better than humans, shouldn’t they get more scrutiny?

I mean, unless ‘better’ means better at traffic violations.

The Jets will face a tough test in Colorado as they take on the Avs tonight.

The Moose have another day of practice as they get set to welcome the Icehogs to town this weekend for a pair of games.

We don’t wanna see Stars - Avs in any round other than the Western Conference Finals, as God intended
December 19, 2025 at 3:11 PM
Autonomous vehicles force us to confront the fact that many traffic laws are (borrowing from @gregshill.com) “insincere rules” seldom enforced.

So, facing the choice: do we adjust the driving culture to meet the rules? Adjust the rules to meet the culture? Or adjust the AVs to mirror the humans?
It’s easy to criticize car co’s for programming vehicles to break traffic and parking laws. But human drivers do it constantly.

Two big differences:
🔹 Humans make context-specific decisions (i.e., is it an emergency?). Software doesn’t.
🔹 Humans are liable for their actions. Car co's often aren’t.
