Story time:

6 years ago our practice left Allscripts because it's a bottom 5 EMR. Divorced groups still have "read only" access but they upgraded and we needed to follow 17 steps to maintain our account. Well we got stuck at step 1 and their tech support is not going to help non paying customers.

Ah! That I am familiar with…we frequently get folks moving from Allscripts to Epic.

I reviewed the top 10 EHR systems physicians use in 2025:

Epic, Cerner, SmartClinix, Allscripts, Athenahealth...

None solve the real problem.
They're not built for doctors.
They're built for billing.

I also prefer Epic to Cerner

Allscripts, Luminello, Kareo, TechCare, and iCANotes can go kick rocks (sorry pals, you've let me down)

PracticeQ looks intriguing
I hear good things about Valant depending on the user's needs

this is how people know I'm actually in healthcare is silly crap like this

That happened with allscripts a few years ago and I'm kinda sad they didn't take the company out in the process.

The company, formerly known as Allscripts, overstated its revenue in 2020 and 2022.

It's total crap.

It's just better than the other crap.

Allscripts in 2004 was better.

I struggle daily in the swamp pit formerly known as AllScripts, now mutated into Altera Touchworks 📉🩺💵
January 9, 2025 at 4:29 AM
Ahh that’s where you’re wrong. Allscripts was a prescribing software program that they frankensteined so it could do billing with and THEN they turned the resulting monstrous chimera into a documentation system

meditech was MUCH better than Allscripts
This is a hill I will die for

This could also describe AllScripts
