in Construct 3? It gives you control over every point of the mesh grid. I create a 17x17 grid on the sprite with that texture. Then I use wave math and a nested loop to set each of those points to an appropriate elevation (governed by sin and cos curves). That's all.

Art vs Pfp!
2025 was a crazy year. I had a lot of "new" & while it wasn't all good, the positives were huge:
- I opened commissions
- I started vending at craft fairs
- And I started pushing outside of my comfort zone by working on some of the largest canvases yet!

I could show you a NN which takes a 17x17 grid of pixels and detects a number or letter therein.
But if I give you the network topology and weights and say "point to where it knows how to recognize a 'Z'", you couldn't do it—because that information is a holistic property of the trained network.

Amp made some nice adjustable PGA tools, the 58417-1 for 10x10 through 17x17, and 58417-2 for 18x18 through 25x25. I couldn't afford them back then; AMP tools were much more expensive than Augat, but now I've been able to order used tools from both Augat and AMP.
