I don't like that Dems are getting over the "imagine if a Dem.." phrase. We should never move past that.

To me, it's proof of a shared reality, 1)We all remember having a sane country. 2) That we all see the things that helped get us here. I.e. the blatant double standards of media & swing voters.

Ugh, I paid $2.50 (¥387) for a raspberry croissant less than 1/2 the size Wakana is holding.

When I take my 2nd trip to Tokyo in Jan, i'll go to 👀 #TJPW live, take 📸 & see if I can find a large croissant, probably cheaper than in US 🤔❓️

This #EpigraphyTuesday offers us a simple funerary inscription now in the #CapitolineMuseums, identifying the occupants of a tomb outside the Porta Tiburtina of #Rome as a married couple, freed slaves, Maritimus and Quinta, from the household of #AntoniaMinor, wife of #Drusus. #AncientBluesky 🏺
FUNERARY INSCRIPTION OF MARITIMUS AND QUINTA, 1-25 CE. CAPITOLINE MUSEUMS Maritimi / Antoniae Drusi (scil. uxoris) l(iberti), / rogatoris. // Quintae / Antoniae Drusi (scil. uxoris) l(ibertae), / cantricis. "(Tomb) of Maritimus, freedman of Antonia (Minor), (wife) of Drusus, employed for receiving guests. (Tomb) of the singer Quinta, freedwoman of Antonia (Minor), (wife) of Drusus." These two people, freed slaves working in the household of the powerful imperial woman Antonia Minor, have a simple marble plaque to mark their tomb, with their inscriptions put into two tabulæ ansatæ inscribed rather abstractly onto the marble. It was fixed to the tomb with three iron nails, which have left large rush haloes on the marble. Maritimus was a rogator or greeter, and Quinta was a singer, for Antonia Minor in her widowhood, after the death of her husband Drusus, brother of the emperor Tiberius.

Incidentally (bc this matters), one of the people convicted of seditious conspiracy WAS pardoned: Enrique Tarrio (he claimed prosecutors asked him to flip on Trump).
DAY 1 January 20, 2025 On Trump’s first day in office, the president signed a flurry of executive orders, 26 in all, withdrawing the US from the World Health Organization and the Paris climate agreement, rescinding birthright citizenship, sending troops to the southern border, freezing foreign aid, and stopping federal hiring. Then Trump issued pardons to almost everyone convicted in the bloody January 6, 2021, assault on the Capitol, in which nine people ultimately died and 150 were injured. Even rioters who’d beaten cops within an inch of their lives were set free. (Fourteen people convicted of seditious conspiracy had their sentences commuted.)

When I worked at Shure, a few of us had the privilege of managing a Spinal Tap concert at NAMM. They did not play it as parody…which made it surreal to us. (Also, it went off without a hitch.)

But the #1 thing that stuck out was their appeal to everyone.

Americans need to see this is where the Chinese are. Our policies are making us go backwards, especially discontinuing the F150 Lightning. There's only 1 company who can compete and but its head is up a right-wing-nut-hole. Get your head out of the sand America. It's time to fight, not retreat.

Here's something interesting: an "Avita 12" luxury electric sedan from China.
One thing I like about Chinese cars is that so many are designed to prioritise tech and extreme comfort like American cars used to. Seems to work too judging by that cup of water on the wingcam.

She would not consider wearing it in another way while she worked, and not wearing it at all was no option. She loved Thyberius and would never put herself in a position to shame him by not wearing the ring he’d had fashioned just for her. Time and again, Evlin would find that ring and wonder at how this woman could move clouds, grow anything from the rockiest of soils, and yet not extend her powers enough to find the small, shiny circle that meant so much to her. there are only two things many of us want:
1. for the hot women to have agency and be fully realized characters

2. if there are revealing outfits, then they should also apply to male characters (like in BG3, for example)

it's really not that difficult but they WILLFULLY misunderstand.

Guess what you can elect them but unless they can convince the other 1/2 of the US that doesn’t care won’t happen- like those on employer paid plans, bets with free healthcare already and those on Medicare .. Universal healthcare has been an issue since the 30’s and has gone nowhere ..🤷‍♀️
