Just two moths actually in the trap this morning, a Rusty-dot Pearl and this beauty. Banded Sable was not on my shortlist of candidates for number 24 on the new garden list! As far as I can make out, less than 20 Devon records.

My 2nd ever Slender Burnished Brass arrived sometime this afternoon, between 11am & 4pm, to its own lure. It didn't want to hang around for long!

Schrödinger's Catch in Camden overnight, simultaneously both good for November here and disappointing. A single migrant in Palpita vitrealis, which is regular on the roof terrace, and a single macro in Merveille du Jour, which isn't. Antipodean micros brought the total up to 5:4. #TeamMoth

This morning there weren't many #moths in the trap. It'd been raining heavily again. I think I'll be stuck in the greenhouse for a while based on the weather forecast. Fortunately, I did get a new moth for the garden. I won't name it just yet, though, 'cos of my gaffe from yesterday. 😅 #teammoth

Lovely to see probably my last Merveille du Jour of the year last night. The best of my last couple of nights trapping. December Moths, Blair’s Shoulder-knot, Winter Moths, Chestnut, Feathered Thorns also braved the weather. Even I am not trapping tonight! #teammoth

Moth trapping has been non-existent since breaking my bulb and giving up for the autumn. So this NFG Grey-Shoulder Knot was a nice chance find behind the shed lock #teammoth

Giving autumn colours something extra; a Stigmella tityrella mine in a fallen Beech (Fagus sylvatica) leaf.

Still no Wogan #teamMoth VC29 9C, dry

In fact, far better, an NFG last night - Scarce Umber. Almost missed it as it was resting on the conservatory window frame behind the trap and I only spotted it when I resetting the trap.
