The Herdwicks are doing their best to Conservation Graze some of the steeper slopes on Mill Hill, Shoreham. Hopefully this will allow some of the natural downland flora to return & improve the habitat for Adonis Blue & Chalkhill Blue butterflies. @southdownsnp.bsky.social

198th night of trapping this year produced nothing new but I did catch an Oak Rustic Dryobota labecula with brown highlights, rather than the white highlights type, neither of which visit me very often.

Some wind expected by the morning so the Robinson is braced with housebrick, timber rainshield weighting and egg boxes moved back from the funnel for compete dryness. 😂😂😂
