I applaud Trump for trying to end this war. But right now we’re seeing plenty of concessions from Kyiv, and few from Moscow. History teaches us a hard truth: when aggression is rewarded, it doesn’t stop. If we stay on this course in 2026, Putin will keep asking for more @pbsnews.org

15. Europe rightly supports Ukraine with financing & arms (unlike the US), but it needs to stand up to Trump also diplomatically. Trump's "diplomacy" is not helpful but harmful since he works hard for Putin.

"If #Putin ever gives this up, he has to go to #Russia people & say, '1.4m casualties & we didn’t get all of #Ukraine. We didn’t even get all of #Donetsk'

Will they say, 'We’re happy. We don’t have to fight anymore'? Or do they say, 'You’re stopping? You were supposed to give us Greater Russia'?"
