How does Moscow view Donald Trump at the end of 2025? One Russian paper today: “The US leader’s philosophy is closer to the values of Russia’s president, not the politicians of the Old World…he sees Europe as a liberal stronghold to be destroyed…” #ReadingRussia youtu.be/7EwZNk6KgHU
"Russian industry has entered a perfect storm" warns Russian paper.

Remember when we were discussing it 2 years ago?!
A year ago, it wasn’t clear whether Project 2025 would amount to much. Today, it’s become the Trump era’s most effective policy initiative. In The Atlantic Daily, @dgraham.bsky.social reviews how Project 2025 transformed 2025:

Trying my hardest to be optimistic for 2026.

But boy oh boy, 2025 doesn't leave me much hope for the near future.

Key to remember though:

They want you to collapse in defeat. In fact, they're counting on it. No need to serve that up to them on a silver platter.

2025 comes to an end.

It’s been a strong year for deployment and innovation, but a worrying one for energy politics.

Moves like the US pause on offshore wind show how quickly progress can be undermined by polarised debate.

Here’s hoping 2026 brings calmer, more evidence-based energy policymaking.

Update: 2024 = 9,474, nearly a record again. www.uscp.gov/media-center...

Even if we use their 2022 pub date as a starting point for evaluating evidence of 'a new era of violence,' 2024 was 26% above 2022, & 2024 was 10% above the more comparable 2020 presidential year. Lots more metrics like that.
