Breathtaking! 😊

Our lot (twelve cats) have a giant dog bed in front of the Aga and two beds either side on the work surface. Those that can't jump, ask to be picked up and put there 🙂

What's "lunchtime"? Come to think of it... what's "breakfast"? I've only had a tiny yoghurt so far today and dinner is about three hours away. One of the features of having a zoo 🙃

Love it! 😊

I've not seen that gnat - at least, to my knowledge. Must keep my eyes peeled next year.

I love the Sigma. It's certainly the lens I have the most fun with 😊

Cheers Den. Interesting fact. Zoomed right in on the original, you can see the reflection of the bird in the largest water droplet 🙂

That would explain the greater DOF I was wondering about last night. I've photographed male non-biting chironomid midges, but I only have the Sigma 105mm macro. Happily, it loves f/14, but the DOF is almost non-existent 😊

Growing up with film made me think very carefully about each shot. Film was expensive and so was the developing. I still love to use Ilford HP5 doing street photography in London. That reminds me that I really must get back up there this winter...

Lovely image. Back in the day, we either got the subject in focus, or lost 1/36th of a roll of film 😉

Stunning! 🙂

🤣 If I go to my favourite bird reserve, he's generally getting started as I drive through the gate

Thank you. That's really much appreciated. The zoo is fine today, but the llamas and goats are shut in the field shelter and yard due to heavy rain. Here they are right now on our "llama cam". I do like to see them like this 🙂

Thank you Den. I needed a gentle day yesterday and we got the opposite. Rodney goat seems fine now, but I've moved them into the other field. We have a stunning oak-lined coach road by the left hand field, but eating the leaves can cause gas and bloat. They're shut in the yard now due to heavy rain

I've spent the afternoon sobbing my heart out as we're already living with a cat who had pancreatitis and a llama with severe breathing problems. Madison llama got Bluetongue last summer, a whole five months before DEFRA allowed the use of vaccine 😢

She's purring on my lap right now 🥰
