“One of the things that really gives me joy is the fact that there are so many amazing, brilliant, creative disabled people out there. But part of my rage — and it’s a very real rage — is that most people don’t really know about them.”

Computers were a skill. They were taught in classrooms as a skill. Skills give you power over your tools because you work them as an expert and that is leverage to multiply externally.

And then computers became an A/B tested telemetry-based advertising conduit to brains for SaaS recurring revenue.

I looked into PC gaming earlier this year and while I didn't buy (yet), I did find these two websites helpful:

Fair, but I think the risk of people buying this and finding out it can't do PS5 Pro visuals for PS5 Pro $price could sour people on SteamOS/Valve. The UI/UX part is important, but in the end it's about the games and Valve has to prove they can deliver the experience people expect.

I'm curious where they land on pricing. I'm thinking the same as you, but my main concern is that Valve's box is coming out with PS5 esq power... five years into the current gen. I think it'll quickly be outdated just as the next consoles are getting ready to come out.

Funny how we all just “have to” accept AI as progress even if it’s janky and either has demonstrated no improvements to productivity or outright tanks it, but we never had to accept remote work despite every study showing it improves productivity AND workers lives.

What if I mentioned that the vampire hunters are incel message board dwelling losers who get what's coming to them in delightfully violent ways?
