Still time to read a vampire mystery-romance novel before Halloween!

San Fransisco as the sun sets, as seen from Alcatraz Island. Had a great time visiting the city this last weekend.

The lighthouse at Alcatraz. Two different edits of the same shot. I’m not sure which one I like more. Taken on a Sony A7C2 which thankfully has great IBIS because it was dark out there. #photography

Visited Alcatraz at night after the protest yesterday. Was a beautiful end to a long day. The island and the prison are a reminder of the bad things we’ve done, but the occupation that took place there helped reset native rights. In the end, there is always light after the darkness.

A very nice, if hazy, view of Oakland California. Lovely city you’ve got here.

Heading to the airport to get out of Portland just as the sun dips behind rain clouds. Looking forward to visiting San Francisco this weekend.

A wonderful photo of yours truly, taken at the Portland Japanese Garden by my wife.

Perfect time of year to dive into a vampire story.

Still learning how to use a manual focus Petzval 55 f/1.7 MKII Art lens on my #Sony A7C2, but I really love the swirly bokeh it creates. Looking forward to seeing how Christmas lights dance in portrait photos in December. #Portland

Some photos from the O-Tsukimi (Moonviewing Festival) at the #Portland Japanese Garden last night. Taken with a combo of a standard 24-50mm Sony lens and a Petzval 55mm (swirly backgrounds!).

Was just downtown last night. Didn’t hear any helicopters buzzing the battlefield, but you know I’ve got bad hearing. Maybe the fighting was on a different block.

Always annoying when a mistake gets thru six revisions, three rounds of test readers, and a line by line edit I did myself. This will be fixed for the final published version next month. #VampireDetectiveAgency

(thanks to Cazlovesbooks for catching this in the ARC)

It’s a good day for #booksky readers to start a new #supernatural #thriller! FBI Agents vs a small town, a shifty sheriff, a cult, and a killer in the woods that may or may not be a mountain lion. #indieauthor

Shout out to diybookcovers.com/3Dmockups/ for the easy to make 3D books. I’ll be spending part of my rainy day making ads for my upcoming vampire detective romance book. #indieauthor #booksky

Came across this a few weeks ago. This is the vibe we need to get back to instead of the endless doom scrolling.

Always fun seeing your books in the hands of readers!

Writing books! 2/3rds of the way through a supernatural thriller trilogy. And I’ve got a vampire detective romance book coming out on 10/13!

Still looking for readers who enjoy a little #mystery with their #romance books. Vampire dinner-to-lovers storyline with a few twists. Got free review copies left for those willing to give it a shot.

Today would have been mom's 67th birthday. She passed last year after a lifetime spent putting other people first. She loved a good mystery. In Shepherds of Lost Things, the burnt out Detective Bataille with her bad knees and cluttered Buick was an homage to mom. Thought she’d get a kick out of it.

I included this note about real places and fictional stories at the start of Shepherds of Fragile Creatures, because I know the annoyance and pain as a reader when a place isn't right in fiction. So far, no complaints from readers. #booksky

When writing Shepherds of Fragile Creatures, my wife complained about a book she’d just bought. It was a sequel that didn’t note anywhere that it was a sequel. Thus was born a short, “Previously In…” section where I make very clear readers are starting a sequel. #indieauthor #writing #booksky

Still playing with the back cover #blurb for Vampire Detective Agency: First Bite, but so this is reading close to done for me. It's the first #romance book I've written, and of course given my tastes it's in the #paranormal category. What do you think? #booksky

Even though I have a vampire romance novel coming out, I still snuck some Twilight shade into my #supernatural #thriller Shepherds of Fragile Creatures. It also works as a subtle nod towards the creature in the woods nature of the case that our fearless FBI Agent has embarked upon. #booksky

Fall is upon us. Read a #paranormal #mystery that unfolds in the middle of a vampire dinner-to-lovers #romance love story. Arc readers wanted. #booksky
