As cold as it is, I try to be calculated. If the animal should still have years of life I’ll take major steps, if they’ve lived a full life then I will take minor steps if it seems recovery is possible, but that’s the limit. I never want to make my pet linger and suffer.

Yesterday she started walking on her own. Today she started eating and drinking. She even managed to walk a straight line. She’s still unsteady, but all other symptoms have subsided. Very grateful for each extra day we get.

Her eyes were twitching constantly, she was drooling, barely eating, and throwing up when she did. I had to walk her with a support harness for two days just so she could go to the bathroom without falling over.

A few hours later, at the vet, she was able to get to her feet, unsteadily. She couldn’t walk, but it was encouraging enough to try some meds and see if she would recover.

Flip side, I think Rusty would only go MAGA one election cycle before he stopped voting. Hank and Dean would last 2-3. Brock would be a lifer.
