Your help with this final push was crucial for him to pay for transportation costs and doing other preparations for his long, difficult, and painful journey to leave Palestine. We are sure this will be a temporary absence 💚 Thank you so much.

Folks we have GOOD NEWS which I know we all need…

Our dear Zakaria @zakharara.bsky.social is on an evacuation list out of Gaza 🙏🏾 he will have to cover some small transportation costs to coordinate this.

This will save his life. 21/380 by Monday morning chuffed.org/project/zaka...

The coming days may be very harsh… we might find ourselves displaced with no shelter, no belongings, nothing. Any support from you could help us survive these catastrophic days 💔🇵🇸
I’m sharing a Palestinian account every day and today is Zakaria. Zakaria’s mother is Ukrainian and they lived in Gaza City where he was a software engineer. Early in the war his house was fire bombed killing his brother and father and leaving Zakaria trapped in the rubble with significant injuries.

The situation is getting more dangerous, and if necessary, we may have to move on foot. Please pray for our safety 🇵🇸🙏

I cannot move south because my relatives are still here in the north. I cannot simply leave them behind. I will stay with them as long as I can, despite the danger. I’m trying to find a truck to move us south and doing my best to help secure their safety first

Displacement, internet cuts, poor services, daily threats… a miserable life 💔

Reasons I can’t find work in software or feel discouraged to pursue projects, are many. To put it briefly: I tried months ago and learned the hard way. My field requires stability, something completely absent in Gaza. Many colleagues have already quit and turned to temporary work

A software engineer from Gaza is now thinking of opening a small food stall as a temporary way to survive.
Any advice or suggestions?
(Given the difficult situation here)

A friend suggested we start a small food stall. It breaks my heart that, as a software engineer, I’m forced into this. The project needs $2,000 to begin, but I only have enough for a few days of survival. With no other options, I truly hope for your support to move forward

To be honest, donations from my campaign are very limited and don’t cover basic needs. That’s why I’m thinking seriously about finding any kind of work to survive. Sadly, ideas so far are far from my profession as a software engineer—creative work is almost impossible here

Zakaria has never gotten support but he’s preparing for displacement. He’s chronically injured and reliant on his friends—there & outside—for help
