Today I went to my relatives’ home in Northern Gaza to collect my belongings. The situation was terrifying — tanks were nearby firing, and shells hit houses just meters away

Israeli forces are firing intense illumination flares over the eastern areas of Gaza.
This is often followed by military operations.
