The DeVos family is back at it and about to write some big, big checks to try to turn *everything* in Michigan red.

There's a lot more to this story – so I want to break it down 🧵

My kindergartner does active shooter drills.
Someone asked how many kids have to die from measles? Likely higher than we can count.

We listened to the end of this while eating dinner. My daughter admonished me for the phone at first, but then asked some great questions.
Booker finally yields after more than 25 hours of speaking 👏👏👏

I found this show a few weeks ago, and it is incredible. Seriously, go watch it.
Common Side Effects is the best show that I hear too little about. Animated show on Max by Mike Judge and the folks behind Scavenger’s Reign (another banger.) It’s hilarious, surprising, moving and profoundly relevant. Full recommendation.

Here's a thread of involved parties talking about the need for secure communications (when Dems are involved):

And he defends the midcourt logo from U-M players for the senior day kisses.

FLOOD THE PORTAL

Spam the hell out of it.

Pass it on! It works!

This whole thread is incredible
Briefly going to use this as a jumping off point to talk about art! There's a concept in art history called kunstwollen or "will to art" introduced by Alois Riegel, who was a late 19th century Austrian art historian. It is often used to explain why certain motifs appear at certain times in history.
As part of this, I think it is also useful to emphasise that Henry Ford was a big fan of Hitler. Big technology has always been a close ally of authoritarianism, as we are witnessing in our own times, & that point needs to be made more frequently.
