Stanning for the continuity of american empire, but just under a younger, more progressive avatar is the real issue here. AOC isn’t a republican, sure, but someone in Gaza or Kinshasa or Tikrit isn’t going to suddenly be out from under the thumb of the imperial machine because we somehow elect her.
